Bozeman: "...that's never been proven."

A very weird and strange combination of quotes and statements reportedly from Wake Forest University's Dr. Bozeman:

1) WFU Doctor: Tasers 'Extremely Safe Weapon'
2) According to his research though, tasers could have contributed to or even caused death in some cases...
3) ...but Bozeman said that's never been proven. [LINK]

This exchange (including the surreal "...that's never been proven" phrase) is related to the (in)famous so-called study where 1200 taser incidents were included in the data set, which reportedly include two taser-associated deaths, but because those deaths were not found to be taser-caused deaths (the taser proof issue, it would leave no reliable postmortem evidence), they were not included in negative outcomes. Thus the obviously-suspicious conclusion that tasers-R-safe.

This "never been proven" statement, a phrase essentially cut-and-paste from the playbook of Taser International,... Well, frankly, it stinks. Stinks in the sense that it smells funny.

Time to start digging...

UPDATE: Delivered on a silver platter. See [LINK].
