Maryland. Where the official (Maryland Attorney General) conclusion is that tasers are in fact potentially lethal and that Taser International has "significantly" understated the risks of taser use.

On a side note, it would appear that agencies using the "Taser" have gotten the "message" that their supposedly benign weapon is perfectly capable of causing death, and that the manufacturer is withdrawing its legal and propaganda "support", leaving cash-strapped public entities to fend for themselves when challenged and sued in court, for their "Taser abuse" and homicides.
There are far fewer "Taser stories" being reported, which should be confirmed by a drop in the number of cartridges sold to the 16,000 L/E entities. No wonder the company is feverishly trying to re-invent itself with ill-conceived forays into the software business. They have just leased a California location, where roughly 80 Information Technology geeks are trying to launch a "Cell-Phone Nanny" type service, as well as a "Secure Police Video Storage" service.
I doubt that any Court of Law will accept the manufacturer of a deadly device to be the "Custodian of Record" for evidence from police confrontations.
