So, just to be perfectly clear, Phyllis Owens was killed by the taser.
Several years ago, the stun gun salesmen made explicit claims that tasers would not affect pacemakers. They pretended not to understand the point, which was that the pacemaker wiring may conduct the taser waveform current directly into the most sensitive part of the heart.
Taser International has a long history of understating the risks associated with taser use. These false claims have led directly to defective Taser Use Policy and unnecessary deaths.
