The death in custody of a north Queensland man who was tasered multiple times by police could ruin the careers of the officers involved, an inquest has heard. Townsville region inspector Dominic McHugh told an inquest into the death of Antonio Galeano that the incident might have far-reaching consequences for the officers. "Emotionally, if they can come out of this and continue as police officers good luck to them, but I don't think most of them will," Insp McHugh told the inquest in Townsville on Monday. ... As much as anyone, police themselves should be questioning the false safety claims and obviously-defective
Maybe they should investigate the stun gun salesmen with respect to criminal fraud charges?
