The following chart plots the interval (in days) between taser-associated deaths in Canada versus the associated calendar dates of those tragic incidents. Essentially - it's a Time-versus-Time graph to make the patterns more clear. Raw data was obtained from the Truth...Not Tasers blog.
The clusters of data points near the top of the graph represent clusters of closely-spaced taser-associated deaths. Those several clusters of four and five are simply insane. The clusters and subsequent dips are no mystery; they are easily explicable as a direct result of the perverted tasers-R-safe mindset (or The Church of Taser), and the shock of seeing these faith-based beliefs shattered.
Today (6 May 2010) represents the first one full-year (365 day) interval since records began. The most recent taser-associated death in Canada was Grant William Prentice, 40, in Brooks, Alberta on 6 May 2009, one year ago.
The simplest explanation for this recent dramatic downturn in the rate of taser-associated deaths in Canada is that everyone in Canada (at least those that are both informed and honest) now understands that tasers are fully capable of causing or contributing to death.
