Mission Statement - De-Spinning the Pro-Taser Propaganda

Yeah right, 'Excited Delirium' my ass...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The primary purpose of this blog is to provide an outlet for my observations and analysis about tasers, taser "associated" deaths, and the behaviour exhibited by the management, employees and minions of Taser International. In general, everything is linked back to external sources, often via previous posts on the same topic, so that readers can fact-check to their heart's content. This blog was started in late-2007 when Canadians were enraged by the taser death of Robert Dziekanski and four others in a short three month period. The cocky attitude exhibited by the Taser International spokespuppet, and his preposterous proposal that Mr. Dziekanski coincidentally died of "excited delirium" at the time of his taser-death, led me to choose the blog name I did and provides my motivation. I have zero financial ties to this issue.

Marion, Indiana police use electro-torture weapon on naughty school child

Police: Officer Stunned Student After Hissing, Cursing Episode [LINK]

A brave and dedicated Marion, Indiana police officer used his electro-shock stun gun torture weapon on a 15-year-old child at Marion High School last Friday after the naughty boy hissed and cursed him. ...the teen didn't follow directions [OMG! "Zee Must Obey!!"] and began making a loud hissing sound and cursing. When the officer tried to arrest the boy [WTF?!?! Arrest? For hissing and cursing?], the child tried to run away. And so the police [applied life-endangering, electro-torture to the child.] ...

All aboard the hand-basket. Next stop is Hell.

If you don't see the problem here, then it must be because you can't see clearly. Perhaps it's because you're already sliding down 'the slippery slope' at such a high rate of speed it makes your eyes water.

Any moral society has to have certain fundamental common sense lines in the sand.

Electro-shocking disobedient school children is waaay over the line. By *any* rational standard, left or right, it doesn't matter.
