Mission Statement - De-Spinning the Pro-Taser Propaganda

Yeah right, 'Excited Delirium' my ass...

The primary purpose of this blog is to provide an outlet for my observations and analysis about tasers, taser "associated" deaths, and the behaviour exhibited by the management, employees and minions of Taser International. In general, everything is linked back to external sources, often via previous posts on the same topic, so that readers can fact-check to their heart's content. This blog was started in late-2007 when Canadians were enraged by the taser death of Robert Dziekanski and four others in a short three month period. The cocky attitude exhibited by the Taser International spokespuppet, and his preposterous proposal that Mr. Dziekanski coincidentally died of "excited delirium" at the time of his taser-death, led me to choose the blog name I did and provides my motivation. I have zero financial ties to this issue.

False statements from Taser folks

Sworn Statement of George L. Kirkham, D. CRIM [.pdf LINK]

27. Based on these materials alone, Taser’s assertion that there are only two modes of taser use is false, and knowingly so.
28. In addition, and in light of the above, the statements of Taser’s experts Jeffrey D. Ho, M.D., and Mark Kroll, Ph.D., are also false.

The basic issue is that Taser et al have consistently claimed that there are only two modes of deployment. And they use this to back-up their safety claims. But there are at least two other modes... See Kirkham link above.

So is this the first time these two Taser fan-boys (Ho and Kroll) have been caught stretching the truth? No it isn't. Several examples documented on this blog - search their surnames.

90!! What is Taser going to do with the next 310+ taser-associated deaths since then? They're going to spend the rest of their natural life in court defending the safety of their product.

Hat tip to the Truth...Not Tasers blog.
