Mission Statement - De-Spinning the Pro-Taser Propaganda

Yeah right, 'Excited Delirium' my ass...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The primary purpose of this blog is to provide an outlet for my observations and analysis about tasers, taser "associated" deaths, and the behaviour exhibited by the management, employees and minions of Taser International. In general, everything is linked back to external sources, often via previous posts on the same topic, so that readers can fact-check to their heart's content. This blog was started in late-2007 when Canadians were enraged by the taser death of Robert Dziekanski and four others in a short three month period. The cocky attitude exhibited by the Taser International spokespuppet, and his preposterous proposal that Mr. Dziekanski coincidentally died of "excited delirium" at the time of his taser-death, led me to choose the blog name I did and provides my motivation. I have zero financial ties to this issue.

Open message to 'Bethany' from Flint, MI

Find Michael Moore [LINK], the famous film-maker who was born in Flint, MI. When you finally are able to contact him, then tell him that he should make a documentary film about Taser International.

Tell him to move quickly, otherwise it'll just be a historical-review.

It's hard enough to read these stories, but it's almost unbearable to read the comments. Did you notice the very first one from a cop?

Only two? How many lives did they save? How many serious injuries did they prevent? Can't really debate without all of the data.He mocks: Only two died? What's your point? So to this cop, the lives of two young teen-aged boys is a small price to pay when compared to the many lives saved as a result of their deaths, not to mention the many serious injuries prevented.

Of course, the idea that lives were saved or injuries prevented because two teenagers were tased to death is so preposterous that only a psychopathic cop could even utter the words.

Yes, I agree. There a special place in Hell reserved for people like that. He apparently is so unthinking and uneducated in basic morality that he would probably see nothing wring with harvesting organs from newborn babies so long as the one baby saved the many adults in need of fresh organs. Evil prick.

Remember the basics:

- First - do no evil.

- Do unto others...

- The Golden Rule.

The taser appears to be perfectly capable of 'contributing to' the occasional death of those that did not deserve to die. And they justify this because maybe they think it is balanced out by the occasional 'save'.

What? Do I need to provide Ethics 101 training to the entire law enforcement community? Geesus H.

It's not a numbers game!

And even it it was, then you need to twist the data pretty hard to make it balance. Step one - don't count any of the deaths.
