RCMP apology and statement to Zofia Cisowski ([LINK] PDF)
"...and an increased emphasis on the risks associated with CEWs [tasers]."
What? The manufacturer failed to highlight those risks?
What? The manufacturer significantly understated the risks? [LINK]
I'm very satisfied that Zofia Cisowski and the RCMP have reached an agreement and settlement. And the apology is not bad either...
But the larger issue isn't settled.
Taser International still needs to be taken out back behind the shed and given a good beating... (legally speaking).
This entire issue stems from their false claims of safety.
And the divergent views should preclude any further procurement.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is anyway to verify taser burns on a victim in the event that there are no witness and the victim has no memory due to brain injuries.
If anyone has or knows where I could locate good pictures that would be helpful also. Actually any input you have would be appreciated.
That sort of determination is worthless unless opined by a qualified medical professional. The lawyers for the plaintiff would then combine that with a flurry of subpoenas to match the evidence to the taser data.
Google 'taser burns' under Google Images. Most such burns are from the so-called Drive Stun torture mode.
The darts, if they make good contact leave little holes. But the scars might be difficult to find.
Good luck. Contact by e-mail if you wish. See RH column.
